FruitSource Muffins


These delicious muffins are full of healthy ingredients for those wanting a guilt-free, healthy and yummy treat!

Prep Time:  15 minutes

Bake Time:  25 minutes

Makes:  1 dozen


1 cup
whole wheat flour
3/4 cup
wheat bran
1/2 cup
brown sugar (not packed)
2 tsp.
1 tsp.
baking powder
1 tsp.
baking soda
large egg, lightly beaten
1 cup
unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 cup
fat free, plain yogurt
2 Tbsp.
vegetable oil
1 cup
SunRype FruitSource Bars (any flavor, cut into pieces)


Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray muffin tins or use paper holders. In large bowl, whisk together flour, bran, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and baking soda. Mix in the cut pieces of SunRype FruitSource Bars.

In another bowl, add egg, apple sauce, yogurt and oil - mix well. Stir into bran mixutre just until moistened. Do not over mix. Put into muffin cups.

Press one SunRype FruitSource Bar piece on top of each muffin. Sprinkle each muffin top lightly with additional cinnamon (if desired). Bake 25 minutes until center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove to cool.
