Sun-Rype grew out of the fresh fruit business in the lush Okanagan Valley. In 1946, the BC Fruit Growers Association, who had already been in the apple business for over 50 years, created BC Fruit Processing Ltd. to produce and sell a pure 100% apple juice, made with apples straight from the orchard. They named their new juice "Sun-Rype," and that is how it all started.

Since those days, Sun-Rype has come a long way. We have expanded and innovated our 100% fruit snacks into the US and across Canada sharing Sun-Rype goodness with families everywhere.

From the products we offer families to the charities we support, we are committed to helping communities lead healthier, more active lives.

We are a proud supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Diabetes affects so many families today. We are proud that our support funds research for a cure as well as assistance to those living with the disease. Our support goes way beyond corporate donations. We don't just talk the talk; we quite literally walk the walk. Every year Sun-Rype employees at head office in Kelowna, BC along with their friends and families get together to participate in the annual JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. It's a fantastic event that helps provide much needed funding to finding a cure.
