Apple Galette


Puff pastry stuffed with fresh apples and SunRype FruitSource Bites.

Prep Time:  15 minutes

Bake Time:  25-30 minutes

Makes:  6 servings


1 sheet
puff pastry, thawed but cold
apples, peeled, cored & thinly sliced (any variety)
1/3 cup
SunRype FruitSource Bars (any flavor, cut into pieces)
2 Tbsp.
melted butter
1 Tbsp.
lemon juice
1 Tbsp.
1/2 tsp.
ground cinnamon
large egg, beaten
1 tsp.


Preheat oven to 375°F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Place unrolled puff pastry onto cookie sheet. In bowl, stir together apples, SunRype FruitSource Bar pieces, butter, lemon juice, 1 Tbsp. sugar and cinnamon. In center of puff pastry, place apple mixture, leaving a 2 inch border all the way around. Pull pastry up towards center, pleating pastry as you pull it up while leaving apples in the center area bare (about a 1 inch hole). Brush pastry with egg & sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until pastry is golden & apples are tender. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
